Launch of a 5-day Training of Integrated Community-Led Monitoring (iCLM) Master Trainers

In an ongoing effort to enhance integrated community-led monitoring (iCLM) for HIV, TB and Malaria empowerment and build the capacity of community monitors and service users for HIV, TB and Malaria, @RwandaNGOForum, in collaboration with @RBCRwanda and with support from the @GlobalFund, launched a 5-day Training of Integrated Community-Led Monitoring (iCLM) Master Trainers. This training aims to equip participants with the critical skills necessary to lead the iCLM through the training of community monitors/end-users.
Participants are being trained on the iCLM model and how to use the iCLM system and app to collect and manage data directly from and for service users, identify challenges in service delivery, and advocate for improvements, especially for high-risk groups and key and vulnerable populations. This model places communities at the forefront of healthcare monitoring, empowering them to play a key role in ensuring the availability, accessibility, and acceptability of healthcare services for HIV, TB, and Malaria.

Program teams from @RBCRwanda provided updates and epidemiological aspects on the national status of Malaria, HIV, and TB. Additionally, group work sessions allowed participants to discuss challenges and develop practical solutions to further strengthen community-led monitoring efforts in their respective districts of implementation.

This collaborative initiative, centred on the iCLM model, represents a significant step toward advancing the fight against HIV, TB, and Malaria. By ensuring that the voices of service users are not only heard but also acted upon, the iCLM model fosters a participatory approach to healthcare improvement, placing community needs at the heart of healthcare service delivery.
